Description
Casa Molinar stands in the fishing quarter of Es Molinar, which has kept much of its original character, right on the edge of Portixol, currently the most popular district of Palma. The renovated house has about 100 m² of living space and is furnished with an individual charm of its own. A glass wall opens it onto the 35 m² patio, and above the house there is an 80 m² roof terrace. Both the patio and the roof terrace are for your use only. The house is on a fairly quiet side street where you can almost always find a parking space, and the sea is very close.

From the entrance, with a storeroom that also has space for hired bicycles, you come into the living room with its fireplace, satellite TV and a smart TV. Next to it is the dining area with the open, fully equipped kitchen. There is a hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, crockery and a drinking-water filter. Each of the two bedrooms has a double bed of 1.60 × 2.00 m, and an extra bed and a cot are available on request. Of the two bathrooms, one has underfloor heating and a heated towel rail, the other is heated by the central heating. The house also has two air-conditioning units, central heating, fibre-optic internet via Wi-Fi, a washing machine and a tumble dryer.
The patio is a lovingly designed courtyard with a Mallorcan feel, and it gets the sun all afternoon. In the evening it is a cosy place to sit in warm light, and you are welcome to use the built-in barbecue. A staircase leads up from the patio to the large roof terrace, which is also yours alone. Up there you have sun at any time of day and year, provided it is shining, and a view of the sea to the side.
The house suits up to four guests who like something a little different and want to enjoy Mallorca away from the tourist crowds without giving up city life by the sea. In less than two minutes you can walk to the 25 km promenade with its small sandy beaches, harbours, restaurants and bars. In one direction it leads to the cathedral and on to the ferry port, in the other around the Playa de Palma as far as Arenal and Son Verí. There is life here all year round, with joggers, skaters, cyclists, Nordic walkers and dog owners out and about. Supermarkets and shops are within easy walking distance in every direction, and three bus lines stop right outside the door. The airport and the centre of Palma are each about ten minutes away by car.
